Clear Cache Pro is built so that we know as little about you as possible. This policy explains the little data involved and why.

Who is responsible

The extension

The Clear Cache Pro extension runs entirely in your browser. It does not collect, transmit or sell your browsing history, the sites you visit, or the data it removes.

  • Your settings, cleaning statistics and, if you bought Pro, your license key are stored locally in your browser. They are deleted when you uninstall the extension.
  • Licenses are verified offline inside the extension. The extension does not contact our servers to check them.
  • If you turn on sync (Pro), your settings and license key are stored in your Google account through Chrome Sync, like any other synced Chrome data.
  • To show how much a site stores, the extension reads storage sizes on the page you are viewing when you ask it to. These figures never leave your device.
  • The extension runs a small script only on clearcachepro.com, so our checkout page can activate your license with one click.
  • When you install or uninstall the extension, Chrome opens a page on clearcachepro.com (welcome or goodbye). Like any web page visit, this reaches our hosting provider.

This website

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We use no analytics and no advertising cookies. We set one cookie, ccp_lang, only when you pick a language, to remember that choice.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.). We never see or store your card details. Stripe shares with us your email, name, country and the payment result so we can issue your license, invoice you and meet our tax obligations. We keep a record of each purchase (email, name, country, amount, date and whether it was refunded) in a database hosted by Cloudflare in the European Union, to deliver and recover licenses and handle refunds. If you ask us to recover your key, we use your email to look up your purchase and send it to you.

Legal basis: performance of the purchase contract and our legal accounting obligations. We keep purchase records for as long as tax law requires, usually six years.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to its processing, or request portability by writing to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
